Chickadees in Cherry Blossoms vase
This vase depicts a Chickadee couple in a Cherry Blossom tree. The design is done using a technique called Sgraffito. I paint colored slip on the outside of the vase while the clay is wet. I then carve the design into the slip revealing the white clay underneath.
Vases look lovely displaying spring bulbs but also just as pretty on their own livening up an empty shelf.
Each vase is hand-thrown, hand carved, and hand painted by me. Vases are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Vases are 6.5” tall and 12.5 inches at their widest point. They may vary slightly in size because each one is individually handmade.
